Excavators are what they are called Pip. Tim is an excavator operator. He operates big, giant machines at work but we often have smaller machines at home too. I remember when my big boys were little boys he’d put them in the big machine bucket & swing them around. I was terrified. They were exhilarated!

We left behind our magnificent magnolia my Mother planted at our old home in the country when we had to move closer to town for health reasons. We miss it’s majestic towering presence every day - especially this time of year when the 20 year old tree blooms flowers as big as my head. People would stop on the side of the road to take photographs. We try to think of the joy it will still bring passers by for years and years to come even though we are not there to admire and tend to it’s beauty ourselves. Loved your walk and pics this morning. Xx

Sometimes Pip going out so early in the morning - before most other people are up, is really the best time. So peaceful.
