Excavators are what they are called Pip. Tim is an excavator operator. He operates big, giant machines at work but we often have smaller machines at home too. I remember when my big boys were little boys he’d put them in the big machine bucket & swing them around. I was terrified. They were exhilarated!
We left behind our magnificent magnolia my Mother planted at our old home in the country when we had to move closer to town for health reasons. We miss it’s majestic towering presence every day - especially this time of year when the 20 year old tree blooms flowers as big as my head. People would stop on the side of the road to take photographs. We try to think of the joy it will still bring passers by for years and years to come even though we are not there to admire and tend to it’s beauty ourselves. Loved your walk and pics this morning. Xx

Aw. Of COURSE they are excavators! And that DOES sound extremely scary!!
Thanks for lifting our spirits with your fabulous photos (and words) - do you just use your phone for the photos or do you have a "proper" camera ?
I use my iPhone XR for the photos! Thank you for reading, Jen. xx

How lovely that you have a magnolia as a member of your family, SK. Even if you don't get to see it, it must remember you all. x
Oh that’s a lovely thought Pip! I’d like to think so. 💜💜💜
Yes! The plants and birds of our neighbourhoods are keeping us together♥️
Thankyou for your writing 😊
I meant to quote you. replying “ holding us together “
Sometimes Pip going out so early in the morning - before most other people are up, is really the best time. So peaceful.
