I'm really invested in this series, always excited to see a new chapter and read about your progress, ponderings and positivity even in really tricky times.

Cheers Kate.

Sorry you didn’t get to do your Anzac Day walk. I don’t usually acknowledge Anzac Day but I remember wanting to mark Anzac Day in some way this year so it didn’t blend into all the other lockdown days. I did a ridiculously long 2.5hr walk and reading your post just made me realise I was trying to process that awful car crash and the relentless COVID news. It was too far for me to walk at that time but it was oddly satisfying to walk further than the suburb I was in lockdowned in. I remember wanting to feel like I had “been somewhere”. It was fun to explore and go somewhere new by walking further. I thought I was going to find a nature reserve but it was just a tiny kids playground and a tennis court! A bit of a disappointment. There were way too many people out though... the social distancing wasn’t happening that day for sure where I was. I started planting veggie seedlings around that time too... I was lucky to get seed mail orders in before all the online seed suppliers ran out of stock. I’m about to harvest the beetroot I planted back then this week.
